What this site stores

The site gaetanotrefilettidev.it does not set cookies. Hosting is Vercel Inc. (USA), certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, acting as processor for the technical server logs (IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp) needed to deliver and secure the site. Vercel sets no cookies on the public site. Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights are not enabled.

The site uses only one functional preference in localStorage, browser storage that is not a cookie, to remember the light or dark theme you choose. It does not contain a visitor identifier and the site does not send it to the server. Language is not stored: Italian and English are two different addresses.

Manage the preference

You can delete the saved theme and return to the light one. The control removes only this setting, and does not change other data in the browser. You can also clear this site’s data in the browser settings.

Why there is no banner

There are no advertising, analytics or profiling tools. The theme memory serves only the function you asked for. Technical tools alone do not need prior consent, so the current setup has no acceptance banner.

The references are the Italian Data Protection Authority’s cookie FAQ (new tab) and the guidelines on cookies and other tracking tools (new tab). If non-technical tools are added later, the notice and the consent mechanism must be updated before they are switched on.

Links and external services

WhatsApp, LinkedIn, GitHub and the project sites are plain links. The portfolio does not embed their widgets, does not load resources from those services when the page opens, and does not install their cookies. After you click, the external service may use cookies and other tools under its own notice.

Project filters put the category in the page address, without saving it in a cookie or in local storage. Fonts and images are distributed with the site.
